yesterday was a very joyous easter sunday for our family! mommy and i went to mass at our church and it was quite nice! i love to "read" the missal, turning the pages and running my finger along the lines as if i'm actually reading along. i also like to listen to the music, smile at other kids and people around us, and say the Lord's prayer.
daddy came home from augusta yesterday! he surprised me when he came up to get me in my room from my "nap" and i was sooo happy! he brought me a masters hat and we went downstairs to watch the masters and find some easter baskets and some eggs. the easter bunny stopped in iowa on the way here and picked up easter baskets from grandma and grandpa and mimaw and papaw. that means i had THREE easter baskets to find!

the first one was hidden by the couch and it was from grandma and grandpa. there was lots of fun stuff, like some crayola model magic, bolt the dvd, coloring books and crayons, pretty pj's and elmo bath towel, and a cross necklace!

the second basket i found was from mimaw and papaw and it was hidden behind the chair. i got some squeaky elmo books, a doll, a toothbrush and toothpaste and some chocolate bunnies which i'm sharing with mommy and daddy.

the last basket was from the easter bunny himself. he brought me some elmo books, a few coloring/paint books, some bunny ears and sunglasses, stickers and lots of miniature sesame street beanies. once i was done checking out all my loot, it was time for collect the eggs that were hidden around the house. a lot of them had teddy grahams in them, and i was all about that! some eggs had some coins that i could put in my piggy bank.

before easter arrived, i got to do a few fun activities in the kitchen! mommy and i made some cookies in the shapes of bunnies, eggs and chicks. then saturday my friend dixie and her mommy came over to help me frost the cookies! it was lots of fun, especially when we put the sprinkles on them. dixie and i also dyed some hard boiled eggs. the colors were very vibrant and the next morning mommy and i shared one at breakfast...it sure was yummy!
