well, mommy decided that she was going to start this blog for me to share all my fun experiences with our family and friends. the babysite was nice, but this is a more long term option so we decided to see how it works out.
today was such a nice thanksgiving day! i surprised my parents by sleeping in and also by actually sleeping a little bit during my naptime! my "naptime" usually consists of me talking and singing and playing with my froggy in my crib. but i must have been a tired girl today! when i woke up from my nap, we headed over to dixie's house and had a wonderful turkey dinner! i tried almost all the different dishes, but the only food i really ate was the corn casserole and some turkey. when dessert time rolled around, i didn't hesitate to try the pumpkin pie that my daddy baked this morning. it was so yummy that when daddy was done sharing his pie with me, i went to mommy and shared her piece as well! it was definitely a hit!
mommy and daddy heard me say y'all for the first time today! mommy thought it was pretty funny but daddy wasn't amused. i guess he doesn't want me to have a southern accent, but he has to realize that he's planning to raise me in the most rural county in the state of north carolina. a couple of weeks a year visiting in iowa isn't going to offset that!
christmas is just a month away now and i have been noticing christmas trees around town and i think they are so pretty. i'm not so sure about santa yet though. i really enjoy listening to christmas music too! mommy and daddy keep telling me we are taking a long trip to iowa in just two weeks so i better get ready to be spoiled again!
