New toys!

This past weekend I got to buy Olivia's house from the Lego friends collection. I had been saving money for a long time to buy it so it is very special! I had it put together that afternoon and I play with it everyday!

Ryne also got a new toy. A late birthday present. It is a water table and it is fun to play with inside without water too! We haven't put the legs on it yet but that is ok since we like playing with it on the floor. The weather is not going to cooperate this week for us to play outside with it...more snow and cold temps! Spring, where are you???

My brother is a fruit!

Ryne tried grapefruit today and of course he likes it! We haven't come across a fruit that he doesn't like yet. So now mommy is not the only one in our house that eats grapefruit. She has to share now!

ryne is one!

we celebrated my brother’s first birthday last friday and it was great!  i had a two hour delay for school so we had time in the morning to open some presents and celebrate.  we got him little people wheelies and a buggy he can ride.  i made my brother a special book with pictures of him and made several cards for him.

 

 

     we had a little party in the evening too with cake, which ryne didn’t really care for. we think he was too full from dinner and also very tired. after his bath, we opened a few more presents and i also had a special party for him in my room before bed!      

  

i have had several snow days this year but we are hoping the winter weather is about over for the season.  we really enjoyed being outside this weekend.  fifty degrees felt quite nice!  i am very ready for spring to be here.  i have big plans to learn how to ride my new bike without the training wheels! 

 

   

happy 2013!

we had a wonderful holiday season and i was sad for it to end!  we celebrated christmas at home and santa claus did make his way to the mountains!  i got several things i had asked for, including baby belle, a hello kitty tent, sleeping bag and flashlight, some chapter books and horse pajamas.  ryne got a cool tool bench toy and a walker.  his favorite part of it all was the boxes and paper.

 

          

we went to iowa after christmas and celebrated the new year up there.  it was great seeing family and friends.  i got the chance to play with cousins on both sides of the family and have sleepovers at both grandparents.

 

    

  

           

ryne got his first haircut while we were in iowa!  he had several pesky hairs that would get in his eyes all the time so we decided it was time.  he sat on daddy’s lap and was very interested in what chris was doing, but he behaved very well.  i also got quite a few inches cut off my hair that day and i am loving my haircut!  

i got my report card today and i did very well! I improved on my writing skills, which is great because i have been working hard on them! 

ryne just turned 10 months and just pulled himself up to standing on the bathtub the other night.  he also started eating puffs and feeding them to himself.

  

over the past few days, the weather has been very mild for this time of year.  we went to the park one afternoon to enjoy it before winter makes its comeback.
