we had a wonderful easter weekend! my friends amy and kayla were here to celebrate with us. we enjoyed playing together and doing lots of fun activities! we went swimming at the Y, colored easter eggs, went to grandfather mountain, played at the banner elk park, made homemade ice cream in ziploc bags, and had an egg hunt on easter morning before going to mass. 
it’s been awhile since we were in augusta for masters week, but i would like to share some pictures from our week! we had a super trip! we stayed with colby and kylie, but i also got to spend a couple nights at brennan, blythe and brianna’s. we played outside a lot since the weather was so nice. daddy worked lots that week at the augusta national so i didn’t get to see him until we got back home. mommy got to see darius rucker in concert and also go to the par 3 with megan and leah. i loved the park in evans we went to! there was a special water section that had a big frog! i told mommy i wanted to come back in the summer so i could run through it…she told me we don’t do georgia in the summer :)
april is dollar days at grandfather mountain so we visited there last tuesday with my friends maggie and nora. i was much more daring this year and loved climbing on the rocks. we went on a very pretty day, not crowded and not much wind at all.
april is here! that means the cubbies are back and so is the masters! i sported my sparkly cubs shirt on opening day, even though it was quite cold here and i had to wear a turtleneck underneath! warmer weather is on the way though, especially down in augusta, which is where we are headed today after school. daddy is already down there working for the masters and mommy will get to go to the par 3 tomorrow with her friends while i play with some of my friends! we have capris, shorts, crocs and flip flops packed since the weather will reach the high 80s by the weekend!
we have been getting ready to plant a garden in our yard! daddy has started several veggies by seed and they are growing inside pots in our house until next month when we will plant them in the ground. i love to look at the plants and help daddy take care of them. i also have a special little flower pot in my room that i started from seed. it is so neat to watch it grow!
saturday we went to the Y for an underwater easter egg hunt at the pool! it was very fun, but crazy because there were so many kids there. i took home three easter eggs and a little rubber ducky with bunny ears. i played in the water for quite awhile and had a great time because there were several of my friends there too!
sunday mommy and i washed lightning mcqueen (mommy’s car) in the driveway. the weather was about 60 degrees and we got soaked, but i had a great time and was quite helpful!
afterwards i was playing with my safety scissors and decided to cut about three inches off the end of my half pony tail. i didn’t tell mommy, but knew i should not have done that. i hid my scissors and threw the hair in the trash hoping she wouldn’t notice. she did notice though and i got in trouble. i learned an important lesson though and will not get to touch my scissors for a little while. we went to boone yesterday and i got a shorter haircut to even it out and my hair looks really cute now. i have a perfect haircut just in time for the warmer weather!
