busy having fun

i have sure enjoyed being 4 and all the attention that goes along with it!  mommy and i went to augusta the weekend after my birthday and i had another small party down there with my friends to continue the celebration.  we played outside and had pizza and cupcakes (aka muffins).  the weather was so pretty down there so we enjoyed a lot of time being outdoors riding bikes, playing with chalk and bubbles.

  

 

  

 

when we got back home after our fun weekend away, i had another present waiting for me that came a little late from mimaw and papaw.  it’s a new pink guitar, just like miranda lambert’s!  i immediately started strumming it and singing my two favorite songs “rain is a good thing” and “white liar” for my audience.  daddy sure enjoyed having a turn as well! 

 

since the weather was so great friday, we headed out to tweetsie to take advantage of that!  it’s only open on weekends in october before it closes for the season.  we are hoping the weather will cooperate one more time this month so we can enjoy the pretty fall decor out there again.

     

sunday night, we joined daddy’s work family at the boone bowling alley to celebrate the end of diamond creek’s season.  it sure was a fun night of bowling and bbq!  i had the best time bowling with my green ball that had a 6 on it!  the food was good too, especially the naner puddin’!

yesterday i became a 4-year-old!  i had a great birthday with many wonderful phone calls from family and friends who couldn’t be here, a super day at school with mini ice cream sandwiches, and a great party at home with friends!  the weather was in the 50s and rainy so we had to stay inside and play, but daddy was a trooper and grilled us cheeseburgers and hot dogs and we had baked beans from the good ol’ crock pot!  our kitchen is still under construction, but the party was still a success!  

  

mommy and i frosted my cake with green frosting so it would look like a lily pad!  i got two servings of ice cream and i ate it so fast that mommy didn’t even get a picture of me eating it!    

i got many nice gifts, many of them are something that has a frog on it!  i got a frog backpack, plate, towel, coin purse, blanket, slippers, pajamas, shirt and beanie baby.  other fun gifts were a birthday party set, which i opened first thing this morning, dress up clothes and shoes, an isabel bloom ballerina, “bagician” cape with mariposas and a big green K on it, and some new books, clothes and more toys. 

  

mommy and daddy’s big gift for me was my very first bike!  daddy brought it in the house and i got to ride it around a little bit before bed and i did a great job!  it even has a great little bag in the front for froggy!  i can’t wait to get more practice riding this weekend since we are going to take it to augusta with us and the weather there is going to be beautiful!

 

school + county fair + football = FALL!

with september comes the start of the school year.  my first day of school was the tuesday after labor day and i started a new school here in banner elk.  i was so excited to go and have made a perfectly smooth transition at my new school.  i love my teacher and my classmates and we have so much fun doing projects, riding the elevator to go upstairs for music and prayer time and i love it when it’s my turn to be the line leader.  i am getting really excited to take a special treat for my classmates on my birthday and i can’t wait for them to sing the birthday song to me!

 

last week was the avery county fair.  it was pretty small, especially compared to the MV fair, but i still enjoyed seeing the animals, feeding the goats, eating a big hot dog and watching them make my funnel cake!   

this past saturday we went to lily baye and madden’s house for the hawkeye game.  i didn’t watch the game, but we did get to watch cinderella and i had a great time playing with friends.  mommy and daddy enjoyed seeing the hawks take another victory and i was proud to sport the black and gold with my clothes and an awesome tattoo!
