remember last month?

well, let’s finish up the month of august in this post since it’s already mid-september!  we had a nice change in weather the last part of august and it felt more like fall than summer!  i even wore jeans a few days since the highs didn’t get out of the 60’s!  we stayed busy playing outside at home.  i love drawing with sidewalk chalk and playing hopscotch and heartscotch in the driveway (heartscotch is the same as hopscotch except that instead of squares mommy draws lots of hearts). 

 

 

We also had some more wild west fun at tweetsie!  i love to help hopper and porter hammer in the last section of the railroad! 

   

of  course i am the best mommy to my froggies and babies at home and the best doggy doctor to my pookies!

   

mommy, daddy and i were also invited to a wedding shower at the shanty at diamond creek.  they actually had a sitter lined up for me but she had to cancel so i just went to the party too.  i was a very good girl and had a fun time being all cute for daddy’s friends at diamond creek. 

back in the NC groove

being back home in north carolina has been pretty great!  don’t get me wrong, iowa was so fun and i miss my family up there so much, but i love being back home with my toys, friends and doggies!  i have been very busy playing princess, doing art projects and taking care of my bitty baby and mr. frog.  they both have lots of outfits now so i love to change them and take them for walks in the stroller.  we also have tea parties quite often!

 

i am always telling mommy and daddy that murphy is MY dog!  she is my favorite dog and i don’t think that bothers morgan one bit because that means i leave her alone!  murphy has to put up with me hugging her all the time and playing doctor on her.  she sure is a good sport!

    

yesterday was my first day of dance class for this school year.  i was so excited to go back and had a great time!  most of the friends that were in my class last year are also in this class so it was great to see everyone again and we got to tell our teachers all about our summer.  i told ms. cay right away about how i went to iowa and she was just thrilled about it!

  

today we met up with some friends to play and then mommy and i went to tweetsie for a little while.  since i had been up in iowa for so long and our summer has been so busy, it had been a long time since we had been to tweetsie.  i had a great time there today and we are hoping to get back there again in the next week or so.  

IOWA is great!

well, we have been back from iowa for over a week now and finally getting back into the swing of things!  i spent over 3 weeks up there and i was really getting used to it! 

some of the places i visited are:

naibi zoo, the movies to see toy story 3, the junior bix, uncle jerry’s pool, several different hyvee’s, the mississippi valley fair (even saw kellie pickler perform there one night), aunt bunny’s lake house in indiana, chicago for mommy and daddy’s half marathon, chris’s for a haircut (froggy got one too), the westphal’s for dinner and playtime with dylan, the outing club pool with the wanek girls and aunt katie, and my cousins’ house to play. 

i spent some nights with grandma and grandpa and the others with mimaw and papaw.  it was great to spend time with them and it was nice being spoiled a little.  they always have tasty treats and good stuff on the tv!  here are some pictures from our trip.
