Pretty Sunday

Mommy, Ryne and I took a little walk this afternoon. I had to bring my notebook with me just like I did when I took walks with grandma and grandpa in Iowa. I took notes about the things I saw and mommy took pictures along the way for me. 

Ryne and I also played outside at his water table this afternoon and got quite wet!  We love to splash but when my brother is done, well he is DONE!!!

Attention tooth fairy!

I finally lost my first tooth!  It has been wiggly for awhile but I didn't mess with it in Iowa because I wanted to lose it in North Carolina. I didn't want to confuse the tooth fairy since I was not at home for a long time. Today I was eating a hot dog for lunch and I felt something funny on the second bite. I pulled just a little on my tooth and it came right out!  Mommy and I figured it would be so soon when we brushed this morning since it was bleeding just a little. I can't wait to see what the tooth diary will bring me tonight!

I have my first loose tooth!!!

Last night while brushing my teeth I was complaining of my teeth hurting. So I wiggled and discovered that I have my first loose tooth!  It is the middle left one on the bottom. I have been preparing for the tooth fairy's visit already!  I also put a special tooth box in my backpack in case I loose it at school.

well, the month of april has come and gone so quickly that it’s hard to remember what happened!  fun things about april are the masters, the beginning of baseball season and dollar days at grandfather mountain!  i went early in the month on a beautiful day with mommy and ryne.  we enjoyed great views up on the bridge but didn’t get to see many animals in the habitat section since they were all hiding.

              

i also visited grandfather on the last day of the month for my class field trip.  i was surprised because mommy and ryne were there when i got off the bus!  i didn’t know they were going to join us and i’m so glad they did!  it was the first field trip they got to enjoy with me.  we saw a presentation on animals and saw a snake, owl, bear, and otters.  we also enjoyed lunch together and went up to the mile high swinging bridge.  it was a very foggy day so the views weren’t good but that is ok!    

  

     

i got hit with the flu bug last week.  i had to miss a faith formation class at church and two days of school but thankfully i am all better now and no one else in the house has gotten it!  i had a fever, very sore throat and pesky cough.  the worst part was feeling like i had the chills when i had the fever.  i wore my robe a lot and got to take baths instead of showers.  

 

banner elk school had their talent show in april.  it is called follies.  my class did a performance of pete the cat and his four groovy buttons.  we got to make our own big buttons for the show!  it was so much fun and i wore sunglasses on stage just like pete does in the book!
