JUNE!

the month of may is now behind us, and it was nice and relaxing once my dance recital and ballet was over!  with no dance class this summer we haven’t had to make many trips to boone lately, which is nice because gas is expensive and all the summer residents are back up here, making traffic much busier! 

 

tomorrow is my last day of school for the summer, but i am registered for two weeks of summer camp there in later this month and also VBS at a church in banner elk.  i am certain i will keep myself busy with other fun summer activities this summer, such as the park, tweetsie, wildcat lake and of course my big trip to IOWA!

last weekend was quite eventful for us, and this weekend coming up should be as well!  since it’s the end of the school year, that also means that dance class is coming to an end.  we have been busy preparing for our spring ballet and our tap recital.  i had dress rehearsal for the recital on saturday, so we got to perform our tap routine on the big stage in our cute little costumes!  today is dress rehearsal for the ballet and saturday is the big day!  the recital is in the morning and the ballet is that evening.

    

friday was opening day at tweetsie and we were there to help ring in the summer season for them.  it was quite a chilly day, but the sun was shining so we had a great time.  i got to ride most of my favorite rides, see a couple shows and visit with some fun friends.        

our friend dan had a birthday party this weekend too.  we went out to their house in deep gap and enjoyed a cookout and campfire after the sun went down.  we played a little cornhole as well.  

HAPPY EASTER!

we had a wonderful easter weekend!  my friends amy and kayla were here to celebrate with us.  we enjoyed playing together and doing lots of fun activities!  we went swimming at the Y, colored easter eggs, went to grandfather mountain, played at the banner elk park, made homemade ice cream in ziploc bags, and had an egg hunt on easter morning before going to mass.
