santa claus came to our town!

we had a wonderful christmas in the mountains!  we thought about last year and the very awful ice storm we had christmas eve while we were sleeping.  we were very thankful for electricity at our house this year and good friends to spend the holiday with!

on christmas eve, we went to mass and had a nice dinner with our friend pete at our house.  i got to open one gift and i chose to open the one that pete brought with him!  he got me a nice little castle to play with!  we left milk and cookies for santa and i went to sleep to make sure that he wouldn’t pass us by.

    

i woke up the next morning and i was very excited to see that santa had indeed stopped at our house and he left me lots of nice gifts!  he brought me the things i asked for: a frog, a robe and a new camera (which broke within minutes so we will have to find me a better one this week).  i also got a leap frog tag with lots of books and i have already enjoyed reading them and doing the activities.  mommy and daddy got me a chore chart and daddy put it on the wall yesterday.  i have been doing pretty good with that.  christmas afternoon, we went to lily baye and madden’s house for christmas dinner.  the food was great and i had a super time playing with the girls and checking out all the cool things santa brought for them!

   

 

we got a cool present from grandma and grandpa for christmas…a Wii!  it is so much fun to play, even though i am still learning.  i have gotten pretty good at bowling and being an airplane pilot and i love the sword fighting!  i can knock those guys right off the pedestal!  daddy has enjoyed playing too and teaching me how to do all the different sports.  we also got super mario bros from santa so daddy has been playing that too.

 

we got over a foot of snow yesterday through today so we spent some time outside today.  daddy had a heck of a time shoveling and i enjoyed trying to walk in all that white stuff.  the doggies love it too!

‘tis the season!

we certainly had an eventful week preparing for christmas here at our house.  monday was the patron saint day of st. nicholas.  we got a knock on the door that evening and when we opened it, we didn’t see anybody, but he left a box of fun stuff inside of a brand new SLED!  we didn’t try out the sled until the next day, but i enjoyed my new little gifts!  i got a gingerbread train kit, a sticker activity book, a new clifford book, a toy story puzzle, some candy and a little jasmine doll.  st. nick also left a box that he picked up from mimaw and papaw to bring down to me.  it had coloring books, window stickers, a few puzzles, and some avon body paints for the bathtub! 

     

  

daddy brought home the christmas tree on thursday and it really is a very pretty addition to our living room.  i loved helping put the lights on it and decorating it.  my favorite part was putting the candy canes on at the end!  

  

yesterday we put together the gingerbread train.  it didn’t turn out as pretty as the one on the box but i don’t care one bit about that!  i just like how colorful and yummy it looks!

  

i got a lovely early christmas present from grandma and grandpa!  they sent me a new dress for bitty baby!  she wore the dress the day we got it, but froggy also got a turn wearing it as well!  it is quite festive for the holidays! 

the nutcracker is this weekend and my performance was in last night’s show.  i did a great job up on the big stage in my cute mouse costume!  the stage pictures are from the dress rehearsal and are blurry since there is no flash allowed…sorry about that!

i love snow!

  we woke up to lots of snow today and i was so excited!  it snowed off and on yesterday, but overnight we got lots more and it has been snowing all day long today!  we went out this morning and played (daddy shoveled the driveway) and then we came in for some yummy hot chocolate.  right now i’m out again on the back deck for another quick snow-time before it gets dark.

yesterday daddy and mommy got the living room all painted pretty and we also have some of our christmas decorations out.  we are getting our tree tomorrow!  and dude the elf is back from the north pole.  he watches over me from a different spot everyday and i love finding him and talking to him throughout the day!
