counting down to spring

temps have finally gotten up to normal around here!  we have been around 50 for the past 5 days or so and it’s been really nice!  a lot of the snow has melted but there are many areas that are still covered and many big piles where it’s been plowed and now it’s all black from the mud and yuck that comes along with all the melting.  i got to take a walk at school on tuesday.  we went to a pond and fed the ducks and it was really great!  after school that day, mommy and i met some friends at the park and we played in the sunshine for a little while.

 

last saturday mommy and i went with our friends carey and lily baye to johnson city to see disney live!  it was so much fun!  there were many disney characters on stage for the show singing and dancing and we had really great seats where we could participate in the action.

    

i got a great st patrick’s day package from grandma and grandpa and it has really put me in the irish spirit these days!  i have been talking about having a shamrock party all the time and i love the color green (especially since you-know-who is green)!  i also got a special tutu, necklace and bracelet for st. paddy’s day and i just love wearing them!

i love to dance!

monday was “watch week” at dance class so my mommy and daddy got to come in the studio and see what i do every monday with my fellow princesses.  i did great and participated the whole time!  mommy and daddy also understand a little better why i do certain things at home, such as ice skate!  i am always pretending to put ice skates on and skate around and now we all know the reason why!  i learn so much at dance class! 

birthdays are awesome!

mommy and i went off the mountain this past weekend and it was so much fun!  my friend amy turned 4 and she had a mickey mouse birthday party on saturday!  in case you don’t know, birthday parties are one of my favorite things!  i love to have pretend parties at home with my fake cake and tea party set, but going to real parties is always a special thing!  we played a jumbo memory game, sang the birthday song, had cake and ice cream and watched amy open up all her cool new presents.

  

we also had fun over the weekend being outside!  the temps were above 60 so we enjoyed going on adventures (which was really just a walk around the block with some riding toys and our moms).  we found several different fun things on our adventures such as sticks, rocks, flags and signs.  i loved being out in the sun again and getting some vitamin D! 

we also had lots of fun inside dancing to josh turner, splashing in the tub and being silly girls.  we always have a great time at amy and kayla’s!

it just can’t seem to stop snowing here in the high country.  it’s not the fun kind of snow either.  it’s the sideways kind, blowing everywhere since the winds are harsh and the wind chills are below zero so playing outside isn’t even fun!  we have been trying to do our best to play inside and watching some of the movies i got for valentine’s day.  we aren’t supposed to get a break from all the white stuff until friday, which is the day we are going down to amy’s for the weekend to celebrate her 4th birthday!  the forecast in holly springs this weekend is 50 degrees and sunny!  mommy is thinking of breaking out the shorts :)  here’s some pics of snow and me inside beating the cabin fever!
