YAY…a new blog entry!

there has been lots going on with us lately and mommy can’t hardly download pictures these days since we have been so busy.  the past two weekends have been so fun visiting with our friends, but that also takes a lot out of us so we need time to recover! 

i started school on august 27th.  i only went for half the time on the first day since they want us to ease back into it.  i cried when mommy left, but not for too long since we started painting right then, and i love to paint!  i have the same teacher ms norman again this year and she has a new assistant teacher ms gillian and i really like her a lot as well.  there are 6 other kids in my class and my friend dixie is one of them.  she and i are the only girls!  i have been back to class on tuesday and thursday mornings and haven’t cried anymore since i remembered that school is a really fun place to be!

last weekend we made a road trip to see amy, kayla, norma and brian in raleigh.  i was so excited to see amy that i behaved in the car for the entire three hour trip! 

i was quite excited because i wanted to get some pretty blue toes!  that might sound funny, but amy and i video talk on the computer sometimes and she shows me her toes and they are always painted some really pretty color.  the last time i saw them they were blue, so i told my mommy that i’m gonna get blue pretty toes when i go to amy’s.  norma painted my toes and my fingers for me while amy watched.

amy and i had a blast playing together.  we colored, rode trikes outside, and did lots of dancing to our favorite song “working on the railroad”.  we also went to the beach at jordan lake.  the water was so calm that we could spend lots of time cooling off in our floaties.  we also had fun playing in the sand.

fun-filled saturday

yesterday we gave the pookies a bubble bath in the driveway!  it was really fun to watch, and morgie even came over close to me and shook off, so i got wet!  they don’t stink anymore and they are also nice and soft!

 

 

 

   

after my naptime, we went to the ASU fan fest at the stadium.  i got my face painted by one of the cheerleaders.  she really liked my app shirt and my pom poms (i didn’t tell her they are really hawkeye pom poms though).  they also had bounce houses there and i waited in line to jump, but once it was my turn, i freaked out and didn’t want to jump anymore.  there were football players out on the field signing autographs and meeting fans.  they also had a scrimmage, but we didn’t stick around for that since it was time for us to eat dinner.  we can’t wait for college football to start!

 

YAY for dance!

today was my very first day of dance class!  i was so excited to go but mommy was a little skeptical about how i would react once we actually got there.  i did great though, not nervous at all and didn’t even look back when mommy left the room.  i didn’t tell mommy much of what i learned but i did show her the tinkerbell stamp the teacher put on my RIGHT hand.  i will have dance class every monday from now until may and i will be in a few recitals during that time as well.  i am learning both ballet and tap and also how to be an expert princess in my dance attire.

saturday included lots of bubbles!  mommy and daddy washed their cars that morning, which means there were two bubble baths in our driveway!  then after naptime, we went back outside to play with my bubble toys!  we made bubbles of all different sizes with wands and pipes.

 

 

sunday we took a short road trip to winston-salem.  we went to mass there at a really old and pretty church and then met my friends anthony and mackenzie and their parents for lunch.  after we ate, we all went to the children’s museum.  it was such a neat place, with different themed areas.  my favorite parts were the grocery store and the krispy kreme factory.

another week of summer has passed

mommy and i have been keeping ourselves busy.  it was the typical week of trying to juggle doing fun things for me and getting things done at home and getting the shopping done.  but we managed and i had fun swimming a couples days, making homemade playdoh one day and today we went to tweetsie.  it was a perfect day for it…not too hot and not too sunny. 

i have been enjoying fudge-sicles lately since they were on sale at the harris teeter.  i call them chocolate popsicles and i don’t get one until i finish all my dinner.  they are really tasty and i can finish one in record time!  here are some pics of me conquering one!
